About

“Everybody deserves music. That’s why I love doing what I do. It brings joy to people’s lives”

Tom first fell in love with music while listening to his mother play the piano in the evenings as a young child, inspiring him to learn piano at just 5 years old. Seven years later, he started composing little piano songs, which solidified his desire to pursue music as a career.

Today, Tom is widely known for his refined compositional style, especially for solo piano and neoclassical works. His music has listened to in every country in the world, transcending borders and proving that music is indeed the one true universal language.

Alongside his publicly-available artistic output, Tom has been consistently working behind the scenes on international projects, creating music for film and TV, as well as demonstrating his expertise as a music marketing consultant and audio engineer for his clients, which remains ongoing today. His work has been streamed online over a quarter of a billion times across the world, featured on national TV in 70+ countries over 6 continents, and heard in cinemas around the globe.

A little more information…

After his debut release Dreaming of Forever, Tom's following grew rapidly, and in April 2019, he became an official BBC featured artist, with his track Hiraeth. In February 2019, Tom started working closely with NY-based label Sonder House Music, led by multi-instrumentalist Kyle McEvoy. Tom released many singles with the label, with his single Hopedale appearing on Sonder House's Recollections Vol. 3, and featuring in Spotify's famous Peaceful Piano and Instrumental Study playlists. He also released his debut EP Bliss and his first album My Happy Place through the Sonder House label.

In 2020, Tom signed to the record label 1631 Recordings, and released the single Opia, backed by Decca Publishing and Universal Music Group. While working between the two labels, Tom worked with Dutch composer Steven Vrancken and cellist/Violinist Joni Fuller to create Twilight in Bruges, to international acclaim. A few weeks later, Tom released Avenoir as part of Sonder House’s Recollections Vol. 4, shortly followed by a collaboration with Canadian pianist Jesse Brown, called Notes from Tom, which was added to 6 Spotify editorial lists within the first 4 days of release, including Peaceful Piano, gaining over 10 million streams within the year. In the same year, Tom worked with Andres Jacque and Josh Kramer on two new singles with 1631 Recordings, and started experimenting with electronic crossover music while writing Coastal Panorama with minimal electronic producer v e n n.

In 2021, Tom signed onto new labels, including Andante Piano and Yellow Rose Records, and released music under the self-exclusive label Hammer and String. Early in the year, he worked with Andante Piano and Warner Publishing to release his first track on the label, called A Note’s Lullaby, before revealing the sequel Notes from Tom Pt.2 on the Sonder House label, again collaborating with Jesse Brown. Later in the year, Tom wrote l’autre rivage with Grégoire Jokic, closely followed by releases with Yellow Rose Records, including Seasons Apart with Melany Thompson. Tom then received the opportunity to work with Dutch mastermind Ron Adelaar through Andante Piano and Disruptive Records on their collaboration Sorrow, firmly embedding him as an Andante Piano favourite.

Forever looking to collaborate with musicians and companies abroad, Tom signed a publishing deal in 2022 with Danish Publishers ExoPAC Recordings, with whom he released the beautiful Memories EP and the Grammy-nominated Quintain EP, which landed playlists such as Peaceful Piano and Calm Vibes, accumulating tens of millions of listeners on the European collaboration. While all this transpired, Tom worked with the talented Ruairi Rollins on a collaborative project named Antonin Fourrier, with their second release une promenade à montmartre shown to the world in early October, instantly grabbing the attention of multiple labels who the pair would work with the following year. Toward the end of the year, he returned to Andante Piano, releasing By The River Bend and Stepping Stones with the label, separated by a collaboration with Canadian pianist and composer Sarah Watson, called A Morning in the Countryside.

In early 2023, Tom once again worked with Ron Adelaar, this time collaborating with Ron’s alter-ego Anthony Jacobus on From Leeds To Amsterdam, named after each artist’s home city. The release was followed by two more tracks on the label; sous les étoiles and Morning Frost, before Tom signed to the German label Aemeralds. Working alongside the label, Tom released the EP Le Retour du Soleil, this time releasing alongside Ruairi Rollins under their collaborative project Antonin Fourrier. To round out the year, Tom released another EP named Murmures through ExoPAC Recordings.

In 2024, Tom started combining the neoclassical genre with modern electronic production, cementing himself as an experienced music producer and audio engineer. Through this love for electronic production, Tom founded Level 37 Recordings with fellow producer and DJ Ruairi Rollins (aka. no excuse.), where the pair have since worked with many House and UK Garage artists from around the world, including JOSH JAMES (GB), SituaL (FR), and fromclay (US), receiving support from superstars such as Disclosure, Duskus, Douvelle19, SHOSH (KissFM), as well as radio support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Introducing and RinseFM. Despite this focus on dance/electronic music, Tom still found time in 2024 to release Pedali with 1631 Recordings, followed by the collaborative EP Through The Vale with Antonin Fourrier, released through Andante Piano.
